I've gotten noise for quoting cartoons and
comic strips in the past, but oh well, they can be quite wise at times.
"No efficiency. No accountability. I tell you, Hobbes, it's a lousy way to
run a universe." - Calvin
It's hard to be religious when certain people are never incinerated by bolts
of lightning." -Calvin
"Mom and dad say I should make my life an example of the principles I
believe in. But every time I do, they tell me to stop it." - Calvin
Calvin: Do you believe in the devil? You know, a supreme evil
being dedicated to the
temptation, corruption, and destruction of man?
Hobbes: I´m not sure that man needs the help.
Calvin: Well. I´ve decided I *do* believe in Santa Claus, no matter
how preposterous he sounds.
Hobbes: What convinced you?
Calvin: A simple risk analysis. I want presents. *Lots* of presents. Why
risk not getting them over a matter of belief? Heck, I´ll
believe anything they want.
Hobbes: How cynically enterprising of you.
Calvin: It´s the spirit of Christmas.
